United International University (UIU) is a private university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The university established in 2003. It is established as a concern of United Group. The University Grants Commission approved the academic program of UIU on 10 October 2003 and the Government permission was granted on 2 June 2003.

BizSpark Launched in Bangladesh

Microsoft Bangladesh and Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) signed BizSpark agreement at BASIS SoftExpo 2011. Through this agreement BASIS will become network partner of Microsoft to enroll BizSpark in Bangladesh. Feroz Mahmud, Country Manager of Microsoft Bangladesh and Mahabub Zaman, President, BASIS signed the agreement on behalf of their organizations. Marcos Pinedo, DPE Director, Microsoft South East Asia region and Mahabub Zaman highlighted the benefits of the agreement.
