MSDN Bangladesh Community arranged a launch event of Visual Studio
2010 on Saturday, 8 May 2010. We only announced the event on Facebook
and 147 guests confirmed to attend.

We asked the guests to register themselves before entering into the
event. Some of those who arrived late at the event did not get a chance
to register as they had to attend the on going sessions.

We started the event by cutting a VS Cake

Which was fun for all the speakers.

After a short speech by me Irtiza A. Akhter, CTO, Micro Web Planet
presented his presentation A Quick Look at Visual Studio 2010
followed by a QA session on the new features from the developers.

After that C# 4.0 Demystified presentation presented by Tanzim
Saqib, Software Designer, British Telecom. We could understand how
much people enjoyed the session by looking at the QA session. People had
many things to learn. Well they could get all the answers from MSDN but
Tanzim really rocked the QA.
After that Ahsan Murshed, Software Engineer, Cyber Jahan Ltd.
presented ASP.Net Page Life-Cycle. After that we had a tea break
as the Windows Phone 7 session is going to be longer, we took the
refreshment break.

At this point Asif Huque, SaaS Developer, British Telecom came
with his presentation Silverlight for Windows Mobile 7 using VS
2010. Asif showed some hands on demo application and . Asif was very
honest that he is still learning all the things about Windows Phone.
Audience liked the Windows Phone emulator, which will help the
developers a lot to test their development.

I participated in the QA session as I have good knowledge on
application development for Mobile and I also invited the audience into
our Aloashbei program, which
Microsoft is running in collaboration with GrameenPhone. I told them the
benefits of WP7 development and some disadvantages of other platforms.

We also distributed some gifts among the participants. We all hope
that the participants enjoyed the event very much. If you want to see
